You made a snap judgement from the trailer and feel vindicated off of one person’s review. It doesn’t work that way.

Aaaaaand her arc is complete.
I hate negronis. There, I said it!
To be honest I’m not feeling any of those choices. Tom Holland...seriously? He looks positively prepubescent.
I liked Hammer enough but the more I thought about the film afterward, the more I had to concede that he really didn’t bring enough warmth and sensitivity to the role. He’s like an animated mannequin. And yes, he looks rather weathered for his 31 years.
As black people scream (understandably) for greater representation in pop culture, the marginalization, and worse, stereotyping of Asians and Asian-Americans has been ignored up until very, very recently. Sometimes it feels like Asians don’t even exist as the conversations about diversity is usually centered on black…

I guess all these women in their late 30s who still want children should just throw in the towel then, eh? Take a fucking seat.
IKR? She’s such a bafflingly overrated actress.
$250k in property? Did he not live in NYC? Does not compute.
Agree with all of those except for the last one. Lionhead damn near ruined AS3.
But I dismissed it because you sound like a cunt.
Not to sound dimestore Freud-y, but...many women ultimately marry their fathers.
Oregon really is the Pennsyltucky of the west.
I don’t disagree at all. I don’t think she’s brilliant by any means, but at the very least she’s a great tabula rasa and can lend herself effectively to a director’s vision. Her range is limited, but within that range she can still operate at commendable level.
Unless you have some authority on the discipline, I think it’s presumptuous to assess someone’s innate ability (or lack thereof) to perform.
She sounds petulant and tone-deaf IRL but to dismiss her as a “bad actress” is pretty dumb in light of Lost in Translation, Her, Under the Skin, Don Jon, etc.
Scorching take: She’s not a very good actress. I’ve seen a lot of her films and in almost all of them I wish someone else (read: someone more talented) played the part. Really liked her work in Junebug, Her, and Arrival, though. Outside of those I find her milquetoast AF.
And?
Literally wrong. She was not good at all.
