Hahaha Glenmorangie is what I was always taught as the accepted gateway scotch. Completely inoffensive and fairly inexpensive while still an acceptable scotch.

UUUUUUGGGHHHHHH
ahahaha I agree with your wife.
Honestly the only correct take on this debate is the one we all have, that Medvedeva should have won and that this could have disastrous repercussions for the sport as a whole.
I mean, I think Karen will still be around and might contend for a bronze but yeah I don’t see her progressing to the point that Evgenia and Alina were at this year, which is apparently what it takes now to win an Olympic gold.
Ugh I love Karen so I hate to say it but you’re completely right.
Yeah she needs to stop choosing strapless necklines. Her bodice looked SO WEIRD during the short program.
Y E P.
Honestly, Alina was good technically but I really didn’t consider her to be any better than Yevgenia. Probably equal, though I might still say Yevgenia had a slight edge, at least in last night’s free skate. Yevgenia did some of her jumps with both arms above the head, her execution score was higher, etc., she just…
Miyahara was brilliant. I was annoyed that Bradie Tennell out-placed Mirai Nagasu and Karen Chen. Bradie has the same artistry problems as Alina Zagitova but without the jumps to make up for it.
I was so pissed at that. Girl, you wish. The only reason anyone even remembers at this point that *she* was the one Michelle lost to is because she and Johnny Weir have had second public careers as commentators. Tara, you were a flash in the pan, Michelle is a national figure skating ICON who stayed at the top of the…
Oh ABSOLUTELY. Her jumps were very impressive but no way was her artistry or interpretation of the music anywhere near the maturity of any of the other top-placing skaters. She can jump, but she can’t play a character to save her life.

She did! I can’t believe I’m saying this but that might have been my favorite interpretation of the Anna Karenina character of all time. And I love the Joe Wright film.
EVGENIA WAS ROBBED.
YOU’RE SO RIGHT I CANT BELIEVE I OVERLOOKED THIS.
For real. I’m beginning to think that all conservatives either were business or science majors, or didn’t bother with college at all to begin with.
We did a bit of Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir as well. You read lots of French stuff if you’re doing anything from about Neo-Classicism through German Expressionism. Film’s pretty wide-ranging, but you get a lot more modern philosophy and criticism for that. Mulvey, Lacan, Bazin, Susan Sontag, etc.
Interesting. He’s not someone we read, but given that my university is one of the oldest in the English-speaking world, it’s safe to say that we’re probably not as cutting edge in terms of embracing contemporary philosophers as Berkley is. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that.)
Yeah every time we got assigned Freud for art history we got the whole spiel on how he’s utterly disregarded by current psychology but everyone at the time thought he was a genius and bought it all, so we have to remember that even though he’s full of shit, he wasn’t full of shit to the artists who were influenced by…
