It does feel like there’s some sort of mandate to not directly cover the impeachment hearings.  I had hope that something might have been said at the very least about Fiona Hill...but alas.

First, to the author, this was such a powerful article that it restored some of my diminishing faith in this blog (likely all due to current management.)

Acknowledged and then diminished it. Makes me wonder if that’s his older generation white male machismo speaking, or if he was trying to pander to the brand of feminists who reject the notion of female abusers.  Either way, that little addition didn’t do him any favors with me.

I think there’s a limit. I think in most violent situations walking away is best.

Yes, 1000 times this. Let’s not cherry pick and misrepresent.  If we’re the side of data, logic, and science, we need to not stoop to that level, for any reason.

Touche. But at least let’s be completely logical and honest about it. This argument was neither, and does no one any favors.

Same reason she tried to somehow connect this statement with Uncle Joe’s creepy touches. To make Joe look bad. It’s pretty much a fail.

I read a bit of this into the original twitter thread myself.

I mean, yes and no. GMO vs non GMO is kinda bullshit based on the science. Free range and cage free is also bullshit in most cases. Don’t get me started on “natural” and gluten-free. But we can see where chemicals added to our foods have been harmful. There’s lots of examples of pesticides/herbicides/antibiotics

Good for you Emily! It must feel great to be one who brought this to light, and to be referenced in other publications, that’s always a big deal!  I’m also really pleased that you’ve stayed invested in this story.

I felt and did the exact same thing.

This is better than the article!! Lolol

Do not worry, it’s a widely circulated opinion! I daresay it would be a dream of mine if it were truth in some cases.

I always mixed mine into mashed potatoes, which were part of 90% of our meals growing up.  I still do that when I have canned corn that I haven't used in a recipe.  Does feel like childhood.

I’m not entirely convinced that it’s entirely on the shoulders of the diet and wellness folks. Rather I think they are a symptom of the gentrification of food. Whereas in the old days fat was considered healthy and a display of wealth, now it’s the opposite. The largest trend actually started somewhere around the turn

That’s not settled law. Further, the Supreme Court opinion, all the way back in 1833, was that it carries the “imputation” of guilt, and served as the basis for rejecting a pardon. There is zero law about turning over any and all evidence.

I’m sure he wants to, and was advised that it would be political suicide.  I expect a last day pardon from him, so he doesn’t have to own the fallout.

Exactly, or sold to restaurant, or donated to food banks.  I’ve absolutely gotten them from food banks.  My favorites are the heart-shaped potatoes, they just make me smile.

Needs more stars!  Right on point.
