Our collective stigma against disease is a form of social immune system. When unhealthy things are properly stigmatized, it’s much easier for people to avoid its vectors and slow or stop the spread.

The fight to “erase stigma” is the fight to infect us with social immunodeficiency. 

this may be the first pandemic in history that may largely be targeting our jetsetting elites instead of the honest atomized proles. Pretty interesting to think about.
