Yes, I really didn’t like that aspect of the “Timeless Child”. Plus it transforms The Doctor from being the Time Lord who made a choice to be something more, something better; to textually, biologically unique, something different from the other Time Lords, and the Time Lords stole that difference from The Doctor. It

I had many, many, many issues with the Chibnall era, but Jodie Whittaker wasn’t one of them. Do I wish that the first female Doctor had had something resembling a consistent personality? Sure, but that wasn’t Whittaker’s fault.

Tennant was not my favorite Doctor (though Donna is my favorite companion of the new series). But it was really nice to have him back & I was surprised at how emotional I found it. I really respect his contributions to the series, which he took to unprecedented heights of both international popularity and sustained

The “James Bond is a codename” theory only holds up of your viewing of the series ends the moment Lazenby quips “this never happened to the other fella.” Literally in the same movie, he’s shown reminiscing over events from the Connery movies. Diamonds Are Forever opens with Connery out for vengeance over Tracy Bond’s

Three is about the limit.  Any more and you just stop counting and call it a “polypic.”

Well, that accounts for that Sunday, but how about apologizing for every other day you’ve existed in the public sphere?

Sometimes the writers don’t want you to follow everything. If you catch just a noun or you catch an adverb, maybe that’s all they want you to comprehend. You don’t have to follow the entire sentence. It is intentional. Is it intentional 100 percent of the time? No, of course not.

In the end, Bill Oakley went as we all knew him:  trying and failing to be like Jimmy.

Something I just realized after finishing this episode: Jimmy is always at his most vengeful when people attempt to hold themselves accountable. Note how his true rage at Howard started when Howard confessed that he felt responsible for Chuck’s death. When Kim comes in to sign the divorce settlement, his performance

Someone young and fun. Craig was great, gave us three out of five at least very good movies. But the Nolan-esque thing got tiresome. Give us a new Moore to Craig’s Connery, start churning these things out on a semi-regular basis, stop having Bond go rogue every goddamn movie, and just give us a good time.  We neeeed

That’s kind of the problem in a lot of dramas. They think it is more relatable if characters “show they are human” by caring more about their personal life than their job. The problem is that it matters what the job *is*. Being a leader of a country is one that should take precedent, as you mention, but there are

Oligatory "Still Not Ginger" Post

I think at this point if Kim goes down, it won’t be because of Jimmy’s behavior.  The show’s been pretty clear that she’s the gas at this point, and he’s the brakes.

You have to admit, it would be a ballsy move though.

Political strife isn’t going to hurt Disney, which at this point owns about 1/3 of entertainment in the United States and could sustain the temporary loss of a major part of its business. At this point it’s so large that it would take government effort to dismantle. In principle, a state denying a corporation the

Go ahead you racist traitors, have your little confederate loser pity party.

It’s amazing to me when people are like “oh there’s a wealth of Star Trek content these days”, but if you look a little closer, the sum total is:

Filed under “Shit I really wanted to do as a kid but have nowhere near the patience or creativity to do now”

I like to think it went like this:
