Honestly asking, what has the implementation of these protections done to the job markets in France? What has the impact been to overall happiness of workers? Would you say that these protections have been worth any “cost”?

I’ve traveled to many socialist countries (Canada, The Netherlands, France, Singapore, and Japan to name a few) and have made friends in many of those places along the way… They all seem much happier in their socialist hellscapes than we are in our capitalist wonderland.

Though I agree with your overall point, the majority of our government’s spending goes to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. To your point though, I don’t believe Trump has said nothing about cutting spending on those things either.
