I get what you mean. I have the same issue when people refer to the recent “live action” Jungle Book, which had exactly one “live action” element to it. Otherwise, it was entirely animated.

But I also know what the author means by “live action” in this case.

I love fantasy, but one of my biggest pet peeves is endless exposition substituting as “world-building.” It’s so boring, and often the information being dumped on the audience isn’t necessary for the meat and potatoes of the story being told. It’s just dressing and distraction.
