Honestly, this is even better.

I’ve been in policy long enough to know how congressmen work. Some are smart and open to the ‘fly-ins’ we put together so they can hear from constituents. Those are the Good Guys and I’m proud to work with them.
as an STC member i can assure you that this isnt a Weinstein moment. the accuser has a long track record of mental health issues and false claims.
Also worth listening to some of their older gems : “Bra Monkey” and “Ure Hot”
Though Ned really dropped the ball in his second project as Beatie Man
I’m glad she spoke up. And, regardless of what the critics and assault-apologists say, it is never too late to voice an abuse against you. Never. Yes, we want victims t0 feel safe enough to come foward soon after it occurs, but if it takes decades, it’s never too late to speak the truth and history of your life.
Welcome to America, where we forever banish and mistreat those we find punishable. We turn off our brains, we fail to mitigate, we don’t care if our punishments and soul-crushing are proportionate to the crime, or whether the offender has actually served their time.
It was alright until his bullshit about his yogic center. It’s like he just couldn’t resist praising himself. Plus there’s the refusal to actually admit to the rape.
That he referred to this crime as “our night together” makes me wish he will die a long, painful death. I cannot stand this bastard.
“The companies will now be run by a new and diverse generation of extraordinary executives who are moving the culture and consciousness forward. I will convert the studio for yogic science into a not-for-profit center of learning and healing.”
YOU SHUT YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH
Also, as a woman who has hugged and gets hugged often enough, I can’t say I’ve ever accidentally slid my hands up someone’s shirt mid-hug.
“If you actually want to help, shut the fuck UP.”
Dudes. Bros. Gentlemen. And some Ladies*. Please. Stop trying to “defend” or “support” Al Franken. He admitted to it and apologized, and is now attempting to make up for it. Every time one of you come out calling what happened “absurd” or “ridiculous” you’re making him look worse. If you actually want to help, shut…
John Oliver is the one I do not want to see allegations happen against. I mean I really cannot see it happening.
If only he had a platform to tell his side of the story, perhaps in a wispy nostalgic tone, while taking loud breaths into a microphone.
I’d say it’s the same general idea. Giving this kind of award is a symbolic gesture. So is the award being revoked or rejected. An award is just someone’s somewhat arbitrary judgment of “good” or “best” or whatever, so what does it really matter whether a person “has” it after they’ve already been named the recipient?
you know they suspended him based on the severity of his verbal assault/abuse right? there was no physical assault to speak of, which was clarified, but the verbal abuse was acknowledged, acknowledged as severe, and punished.
