Yes, they have.
Yes, they have.
But showing a movie in its entirety in a class is a violation of the home use agreement that comes with every DVD/BluRay/VHS.
Has nobody in FL ask to remove all bibles from schools on account of all the sexual assaults?
I mean, in a way he’s not wrong. I personally would love it if more men in this country acted like Jesus - respecting women, discouraging violence, openly weeping when they’re sad, and standing up for marginalized people - but that ain’t what these people mean when they say read the Bible.
And several that you listed confirm that I’m correct. There’s nothing illegal about showing a movie in a classroom. There’s also nothing that says that it must exclusively used as a teaching tool. You seriously think that teachers have been openly breaking the law since the 90s by showing movies in their classroom?
Gee Josh, what is the predominant religion of those American men that murder-suicide their families? Hint hint, it’s not the Jains.
Interesting! I remember when these laws were first being proposed, some conservatives insisted it wasn’t targeting homosexuality, just any inappropriate expressions of sexuality targeted at younger children, and that individual teachers wouldn’t be targeted, arguments I even saw one or two idiotic credulous liberals…
It’s probably already illegal in Florida.
My hope: make this our generation’s Scopes Monkey Trial. Charge her. Force her to defend herself in court. Then let the best lawyers the ACLU can find tear that law apart for the unconstitutional mess that it is.
“Mr/Mrs Oppressor, do you think you could be convinced, if I tried hard enough, to be attracted to the same sex, or to identify as a different gender?”
But showing a movie in its entirety in a class is a violation of the home use agreement that comes with every DVD/BluRay/VHS.
That would make an nice tee shirt.
“All is not well with men in this country,” Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) wrote in an op-ed for Fox News on Tuesday.
If kids are capable of viewing material that shows opposite sex partners, they’ll be fine viewing material that shows same sex partners. They’re not even pretending that this has anything to do with sexuality, it’s just legislation expressing the idea that “ew, gay people are gross”.
“Free speech is under assault from the Left!” I shriek as I persecute teachers for crimethink.
Nah. Even Disney is against that!
Gasp! If we let people know gay characters exist, what’s next? Black characters?
In fairness, simply being “an animated Disney film” is probably enough to get you in trouble in DeSantis’s Florida.
Absolute insanity. They aren’t even pretending it’s not bigoted anymore.
Yea Ron, you are gonna do soooooooo weeeeeellllll on the national stage.
