I know this post was from ages ago, but I just got a Chromebook and tried my hand at installing Linux! Long-story short, it worked! (yay!)
However, I could not get a password to take when I set it all up. Now, in Linux, any ‘apt-get’s I try to run ask for my password (which I do not know or which does not exist).
