At only 140k and after a lifetime of eating oil at a rate my ‘84 Subaru GL with a leaking rear main seal would smugly laugh at?! What POS cars are you used to and why do you feel the need to defend them? Not only that, this is an extensive and well-known problem and they previously agreed to cover it.

Nah I can whine, especially after they told me they’d cover the cost outright.

The 2020 election had the highest turnout in history, and yet here we are.

No, because if we can go back in time we can go back multiple times and keep trying to re-educate to make sure things turn out perfect. We wouldnt have to kill him, we couls just pay off the Director of Admissions at the art school he wanted to go to.

I don’t know. Which is why family of victims shouldn’t be consulted. It’s the Department of Corrections, not the Department of Emotional Responses and Vengeance. I believe the death penalty is wrong. Full stop. For everyone.

That’s such a lazy and ignorant question. Lots of people whose children were murdered still don’t support the death penalty.

Al Gore and Hillary Clinton both won the popular vote.

the same politicians trying to pass this shit are the ones who have been chipping away at voting rights for years. so as a red-state dwelling queer whose marriage may be on the chopping block in the next few years, please miss me with this victim-blaming bullshit.

I don’t believe it is for us to decide who should live and who should die. Murder is wrong no matter who does it. The death penalty is extremely problematic - it’s racist, cruel, not a deterrent, and often sentenced to innocent people. There is no circumstance where I believe it serves any justice at all. Governments

This is so depressing.

That wouldn’t bring the child back, so...

This is a smorgasbord of words. It’s crazy to think that the biggest contribution you have to offer can basically be boiled down to “So what’s the cut-off for creepiness?”

The article concerns a dramatic actress who has so far performed relatively staid roles, not an OnlyFans performer.

The point is some young women, Millie Bobby Brown in this case, are uncomfortable being treated as sex symbols and find it creepy that not only do people literally count down the days that they can openly objectify her but we as a society actively encourage it.

You aren’t struggling. You are test driving excuses. Next.

The author’s point is the experience of the subject of the story. Do you not think her viewpoint is valid?

While I’m opposed to the death penalty in any case I’m confused why it is imposed on so many murder cases where evidence is murky and where there is no evidence of premeditation - which is generally agreed upon in law and public opinion to make a murder “worse”.

I don’t give a shit if she’s innocent. I don’t care if she tortured that child. The death penalty is wrong.

And in the case with trans rights, when people (in this very thread) are like “I stand for women! Just not trans women.” Which politicians are they supporting that are pushing anti-trans bathroom bills AND protecting reproductive rights? Because I’m pretty sure they’re supporting a candidate who is openly trying to

Which means women who are in medical distress will have to wait until it becomes life threatening in order to get care. Fuck this bill and everyone who supports it.
