One thing I hate to keep seeing is Carter’s name along with trump as being one-term presidents. I know it’s the truth, can’t get away from that fact. But it still bothers me because while Carter did not get re-elected, he was a fine human being and is actually one our greatest ex-presidents with all the humanitarian…

A lot of grannies had to stay home due to the pandemic, so.....hugely increased turnout + mail in ballots + short staffed polling places = longer time to tally all the votes.

I think that although he would have liked another 4 years of Trump, he got his money’s worth; destabilizing not only the U.S., possibly for years to come, but also the entire world order. And that will take years to repair, if it can ever be done.

I agree that our election process is totally borked, but let’s not disrespect those grannies that showed up and worked through the night during a damn pandemic.

I mean...they did need to count like 150,000,000 ballots, which is more than double the entire population of the UK.

It’s like hearing the news that the noisy, asshole neighbours living downstairs are finally getting evicted, and even though we’ll have to put up with the noise of construction below us over the next little while, we’re just glad the old tenants are gone.
