Consider it a public service
I would watch the shit out of Lyle and Cat's Adventures in Egypt and Patti Lupone: Vampire Slayer spinoffs
Yeah, it was definitely a disappointment. She could've died in a more dignified manner. Considering the rapid "I'm going to kill Dracula"/"Let's destroy the world" turnaround, it seems like the back half of the season was a hasty revision to provide something like closure.
I agree that there were a lot of detours this season and I was expecting them to pay off in future seasons. They were mostly hastily tied up, which is unfortunate.
I wouldn't disparage Animaniacs or some of its ilk. Some of those 90's cartoons had surprisingly sophisticated humor and wordplay. I think language skills are vastly underappreciated when considering children's media.
The idea that entertainment and education are totally different things that need to be kept separate just killed a part of me. I think it's the implications that learning and fun have no business together and that edutainment can't inspire more in-depth learning or spark an interest in a particular field.
It would be really great if we had more mainstream gay dramas so we wouldn't have to pin all our representation hopes and dreams on a single series at a time.
As someone who moved to Pittsburgh post-QAF (for unrelated reasons), it was definitely disappointing that the gay community is quite small. It's better than the larger gay community in Atlanta, however.
Even if Logan had always planned for three seasons, it felt like much of this season was setting the stage for a lot more stories (adding characters, etc) rather than tying up loose ends. If anything, it feels like the show was internally cancelled halfway through production and the back half of the season was revised…
1) I don't think it matters that it was Shia who switched the pills. The headline says that the series crossed a line and I disagree.
2) They didn't necessarily make up the mother for a story, they made up the mother for the *reaction.* They could edit the mother part out entirely and they'll just have Brandi being a…
Maybe both? He's definitely poorly written but the actor always sounds like he's reading lines instead of having a conversation.
I haven't read the comics either but it definitely seemed to be spelled out in neon lights.
But will it really be Sansa vs. Daenerys? Dany seems willing to give up parts of Westeros to rulers who ask and will rule justly. I don't see any reason to think that she'd been terribly upset about the honorable Starks ruling the north.
Yeah, considering a woman was taken off her meds and spiraled to suicide last season, this wasn't THAT terrible. It was incredibly cruel but I'm not sure they're even going to air the part about her lying about her past. They got footage of her being a really poor loser and they can spin that a lot of ways that won't…
Jay is the worst. Blergh.
Cognitive dissonance is a thing. And I'm sure Beth Ann would spout some nonsense about PC culture. I've lived most of my life in the South; I've encountered racists and bigots of all sorts. I still think there's hope for her to actually learn something.
I felt bad for Beth Ann because she's not that bright and, even though she doesn't understand why the flag is offensive, she at least tried to not offend people. She's a dumb girl who has likely lived in a bubble that reinforces that it's "just southern pride." And the actress made her seem like a puppy getting…
He's adequate for the character. I think Matt is easily the most boring character on the show, though. But even when he's his most outgoing and charming (with Karen or Elektra) he's still too…tepid for Han. I honestly can't see Charlie ever beating out Alden (even with eye contact!) because he was so compelling in…
Meh. He's incredibly bland on Daredevil so I don't really see him getting the part anyway.
