I keep a toolbag in the trunk but in the cabin I have one of these. Glass breaker, seatbelt cutter, carabineer, and Kershaw’s awesome assisted opening system that just feel so damn satisfying to open. *SNICK* It’s like popping bubblewrap, you want to do it over and over again.

Mmmm. Yes, Eagle Talon TSI. This was one for me as well. The shape, the engine, AWD, it was all the cool stuff in a very cool package. I had many “when I’m a grown-up” conversations with myself about this car. Then they all disappeared after Cash for Clunkers hit and that was that. 

Then, in 6 weeks, you’d have to do the head gasket again!

These wagons are awesome. I love the cloth upholstery, and the stick certainly should add some value here [though if I’m being truthful, even as a manual zealot, Mercedes does autos better than anyone else].

When I had one of those devices I just had it plugged in when parked and for the first 5 mins of my trip (driving nicely) then I would unplug it and drive the rest of the way normally.

While these bikes are guaranteed to see less time off-road than a Smart Fortwo, they should be wonderful touring machines.

Good to know! I’ll definitely keep an eye out next time I pass one.

As an example of a reputable organization with bonafides in measuring the speed of automobiles, the Southern California Timing Association holds six speed events per year on the El Mirage Dry lake in California and two at Bonneville. They’ve been in existence since 1937.

What I think the real moral of the story here is the guy who was hoarding all those parts, but died before doing anything with them (using them or selling them).
