This really isn’t that different than stuff Steam has done in the past. “PLay this stupid meta potato game and we’ll perhaps unlock a Steam avatar or move the release date up 12 hours.”

Last 150$ Mechanical Keyboard (razer) lasted less than 1 month.. not on gaming by the way but on Autocad... lots of spacebar pushing... so forget that
Will I be more pissed off at Konami after playing it because of their abandonment?
NOTE: MASSIVE Metal Gear fan.
Except, that is not what happens as anyone who knows the psychology of Free to play tactics. Like with Dead Space 3, even if its optional, they are designed to fight your will and resolve.
I just hope they won’t do a Mass Effect 3 and make the multiplayer mandatory to get the best ending or get special stuff in single-player.
One of my bosses recently retired, was one of the last Fulton trained pilots left. There’s still a handful of them left in the service, but nobody’s trained on the system since the 1990’s to the best of my knowledge.
Not even funny. Reasonable gun owners have enough sense not to bring guns everywhere. The very least they would have a pistol if they had a concealed license. And only a clip or two tops.
One way heroics is .87 cents on steam, but the pay what you want is a minimum of 1.99. That’s not paying what i want.

And yes, that’s actually what Verizon calls each tier.
The design is irrelevant when the potential for harm is just as great. Death by car accounts for more deaths in the US than death by gun, and I’ve personally known more people in my life who’ve died from car accidents than have died from gunshots.
Well, the game is the thing they disagreed on, which is pretty important. What makes this newsworthy, is that it was a game, which most people regard as a pretty trivial thing to shoot someone over. What makes it worthy of being on kotaku, is that kotaku is a gaming blog that will post any article as long as it’s even…
I have lived in the South side of town since 1991, and while we have our nutballs, I’ve yet to face down a gun....yeeetttt :)
So what does the game have to do with it again? Other than just being something they disagreed on. They could have been playing cards or discussing politics and the same thing could have happened.
While I dont disagree with you, It is far more likely that this was a semiautomatic handgun (rifles would be unweildy, and four shotgun shells at close range would have been deadly), which you are legally only allowed to own if you are 21.
Time is also something to consider when weighing costs. The time you spent installing and trying it out could’ve been spent playing something good that you already own. That said if you have a few minutes to burn and are just curious, I can think of worse ways to spend your time.
I do a similar thing when it comes to entertainment. I’m a big video game person, so my goal is usually about “$1 an hour”. 40 hours of gameplay on a $40 game is a good deal for me, especially when I can easily log 200 hours on some of my favorites games. It can be way harder to get that ratio for most other media…
Sharing of payment methods should only be an opt in choice, not a requirement. I'll never share Prime with my oldest, I'd be bankrupt within a week!
Why? At worst, the reason to be upset is that it’s opt-out, not opt-in. The feature itself, however, is excellent. When I update, I don’t want to get stuck in a line behind a million other people. I want those million other people to be helping each other get faster updates.
