An alternate title for this article: "Force your kids to make promises that everyone knows they won't keep"

If they are going to remove negative or abusive tags they need to remove all opinion related tags. For instance "Fun" should not be allowed to be a tag. If you dont allow negative and positive tags then you make this just another marketing tool for the companies rather than a real user commenting system.

To be fair, female empowerment isn't feminist empowerment. People who do like and respect women also may have little respect for modern feminism's militant stance on issues. They are not one and the same. At all.

Actually there is nothing wrong with the tagging system at all. Steams faq quote said it best. That the tags are what the users think about your game. NOT the developer. If their game is shit then the users have every right to tag it as shit. Now some of these make no fucking sense and the spoiler tag sucks. But game

Kind of agree with most of the Gone Home tags. The good AND the bad.

Ok, what the hell Steam.

"If tags don't agree with Patricia Hernandez's opinions, they're trolling"

Some of them are dumb, some are outright bad or spoilery...but I've overwhelmingly been entertained by all this. You still have tags within each game that do offer explanation of what the thing is, along with often funny stuff.

So they deserve all the crap they get. I do feel bad for the younger generations who aren't to blame, but when

My ancestors left Europe to escape racism, only to be labeled as racist for something that someone else's ancestors did a century before they got here. I know that as a white male cis scum I have no right to complain, but it still seems kind of racist.

I guess a lot of us in Europe should be mad at the Italians for when Rome enslaved Gauls and the like? Where's my reparations?!

This article doesn't have enough adjectives in it. You need things like 'scary', 'terrifying' and 'dangerous' to fulfill the necessary Gawker requirements for posting about projectile weapons.

As a negative-feedback giver who has learned to rein it in, I have to strongly disagree. People may have all sorts of reasons for saying or even believing they want to receive negative feedback, but in my considerable experience, they don't want to hear it. To my surprise, even business owners don't like to hear it,

Came here to say the same. Thank you, Kirk, for not shoe-horning in stupid fear-mongering buzzwords.
