Considering RDR2 has the entire map of 1 in there, including Mexico, i would much much rather them update Red Dead Redemption and make it a roughly ground up remake. RDR2 is the best gaming experience I’ve ever, ever had, and the original had always been a favorite. I’d love them to apply the backstory we learned in 2

They could easily do the Rockstar thing and redefine the industry, redefine what it means to make a remake. They have the tools at their disposal. What they need is the corporate suit willing to sign the check to do so. And that’s the problem here.

If the Trilogy had been the old games built from the ground up in GTA

Are we not counting Professor Charles Xavier as a superhero? Patrick Stewart started playing the role in the first X-Men in 2000, just like Hugh Jackman and Wolverine, then was in Multiverse or Madness. That’s 22 years already.

Jackman reached a point where he didn’t need Wolverine anymore, then played Wolverine in 5 more movies

I was underwhelmed until I wasn’t. I’m looking forward to seeing more of this game. I’ve had a space exploration itch for as long as I can remember, but few games have even come close to scratching it.

Yup. QA always knows. People blaming QA is part of what made me leave the industry. I worked on a game that had one extremely bad level, I voiced my complaints on every survey and report. QA leadership told me I had to give the level a better score because I was upsetting the dev team and they were concerned about my

I think this idea that FO76 somehow represents the future of the series is largely what led to people shitting on it before it even released. I never really understood that belief. The game is called FO76, not FO5, and is clearly intended to be a spin-off, not a sequel. There will absolutely be another single-player

Same here, I too once wanted to be a video game tester and even took a class in community college taught by a former game dev(who worked on the original Mortal Kombat and told us a crazy story about one of the devs stabbing himself with a pencil due to his mental issues and needing a therapist to calm him down) but I

the first time I remember hearing horror stories about game development was back in 2011 when that story about certain devs being left off the credits for L.A. Noire was doing the rounds and we heard about how abusive Brendan McNamara was as a boss.

When Kotaku asked about which features were broken as a result of poor scheduling, a developer replied: “Tongue in cheek: the whole game. In general, every major bug in 76 [that appeared at launch] was known by QA.”

Hey! If you’re a former/current ZeniMax staffer reading this and you want to provide a comment about anything you’ve read here, I can be reached at sjiang@kotaku.com. You can also DM me on Twitter at @six6jiang if you’d like to get my Signal number. Thanks!

A couple of sources told Kotaku that QA workers would have their breaks timed or sometimes even be followed into the restrooms by non-management employees described by one source as “chronic snitches.” According to them, these otherwise normal testers, designated as “coordinators,” did not have a real title or pay

It preserves the artist’s intended flow through the artwork, and more importantly it preserves the art itself. Mirroring manga is called Flopping.

Our Flag Means Darth.

Now playing

It’s not afraid of an ascendant tech powerhouse Japan ruining America, it’s afraid of an ascendant Japan ruining Japan.

The problem as I see it these days probably has more to do with that we are living in a cyberpunk dystopia.

Things I didn’t remember from Season 3:

Why are we calling Season 3 Season 4?

GIVE WILL A BOYFRIEND

Dishonored 2 is one of my favorite games of all time. The level design was possibly the best of the past decade.
