Absolutely this.

Wow I didn’t know about this.  I was the biggest Deadlands fans back in the day. I own everything made for it up to Reloaded.  It was such a fun game and a weird world. I loved Hell on Earth a lot too.

This cannot be starred or overstated enough. There has been a *huge* influx of interest from board gamers, who aren't necessarily improv actors or creative writers. The G of a TTRPG is what they're comfortable with. And D&D is very G oriented.

It’s fun reading such an enthusiastic article on a topic. The enthusiasm even bleeds down into the comments.

Sounds like you’re doing it right to me: play the game however you feel, and most importantly, however you and your group find it fun. It’s incredibly entertaining how elitist the TTRPG club can be.

Bud I get the feeling you’re not welcomed at many tables.

Excuse you - Space Formula One, not Space NASCAR. Podracing is interesting.

We bash the prequels because the prequels were bad.

FFVII Remake is a sequel.

Can you actually just fuck off with this? They included a trans person in the universally exploitative and overly sexualized ingame advertising the game is crammed full of. Meanwhile, they had one of the most tastefully written trans characters in the AAA space via Claire Russell.

Sad part is, it’s actually a good game, it’s just not what people were expecting. After putting 20-odd hours into The Ascent, I reinstalled CP2077 and have been having a blast with it.

Except I have zero interest in their generic looking Skyrim 2.0, and have meanwhile sunk hundreds of hours into Cyberpunk and had a crapload of fun.

So, you know, take your time guys, makes no difference to me.

Welp, have over 100 hours so far in cyberpunk 2077 and it hasn’t crashed once. Honestly don’t know why people complain about it as it’s worked well for me. There was one side quest bug that stopped it from being completed but it was fixed in one of the early patches.

I 100% agree with everything you said. This is all basically how I felt too. Like yea, there was some weird kinda broken systems and under developed parts, I could see them, but I just never really cared. It still had a lot of heart and emotion in the story, and I love shooters so it appealed to me in that way. As far

I enjoyed it too because I never expected it to be a GTA-killer. Like, the fact that the wanted system is so barebones was never an issue to me because I have no reason to kill cops or random civilians. Apparently that’s important to GTA players, though. I also never bought into marketing buzzwords like “living,

It’s especially pernicious with a game like The Ascent that’s put together by a small team - by positioning it against a divisive behemoth like CP2077 they’re effectively drawing that game into the conflict and inviting people to make The Ascent’s unrelated team a target. It turns what should be an opportunity to

“The Ascent has tons of issues, but it’s totally better than Cyberpunk despite being a completely different kind of game, because Cyberpunk sucks am I right!?”

I feel the same way, but I would add Armada into this. It would fit so well into a digital model.

Comment that contradicts author’s post but in a passive-aggressive way to seem edgy, but really I’m just fishing for upvotes and hoping people will respond so I can call them out and spit vitriol at them.

Maybe throw a hat onto the zombies too, and for every ten steps the hats get bigger and bigger
