I see this response in every single article about the show. Morgan Cooper shot a short film with this concept himself a few years back and posted it online. It got a ton of attention and a lot of positive feedback - Will Smith saw it and loved it as well. That’s why this show is being made.

AVClub Writer: Hey, got an article here about an upcoming Kristen Wiig project.

15 nominations. His last four films before The French Dispatch were all nominated, and five of his last seven. I’d say they have a bit of time for him!

Right? You know Feige was hoping for at least a Cinematography nod for Eternals

There’s always the old observation “how does a cliche become a cliche?”; because it works. As long as it’s well-executed there’s room for formulaic.

Nightmare Alley was TEDIOUS and over the weekend, three different people agreed they could barely finish it. Guillermo must have strong lobbying powers in Hollywood even though his films -- generally? -- kind of suck.

I can see where you’re coming from, but I strongly disagree— I think that’s what the film was going for but failed at miserably, ending up pretty cheap and shallow (and badly edited). I do agree that most of the nominees here are pretty forgettable though

Well deserved - I get the complaints that the show is cliche. But it was also a blast. Ritchson is great in the lead role and watching him use his frame in action scenes is a lot of fun. The supporting cast was great too (sad that most will likely be dropped given they’re not in other books). And the story was

I have a soft-spot for absurdist dark comedy set in office environments. One of the best examples I’ve seen is ‘Corporate’, which made me feel very happy and very sad at the same time.

The story is actually a little more interesting (and kind of funny). The studio executive Fincher was dealing with said he couldn’t use “I want to have your abortion”. Fincher threatened to walk and they compromised. Fincher agreed to drop the line if he was allowed to replace it with another of his choosing with no

G/O Media’s Severance offers a thrilling reminder of why we never want to relocate our office

probably just the standard hollywood touch up stuff that makes someone look like they crawled out of the uncanny valley

lol are you high?

I thought the same thing--I noticed in that Parks & Rec reunion show his face looked subtly different, like maybe he lost weight and had his eyelids lifted.  I was concerned he was sick but he doesn’t *seem* sick.

Weird how? Like his face is kinda adjusting itself or something? I’ve noticed something slightly off myself.

Implying that only Depp, in a cast with names like Judi Dench, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe and Michelle Pfeiffer, is a true “Movie Star” is quite the take, I’ll give you that.

Yeah... a lot of you are confusing “acclaim” with “stardom.”

McBride does the “desperate to save face” thing SO WELL.

After that, Death On The Nile simply takes its sweet time getting to the crime, with scenes of Gadot cosplaying as Cleopatra (her dry run to the future role she’s controversially nabbed) and intersecting romantic subplots for the sleuth and his young, excitable pal.

No, that’s part of Eli’s character, who’s getting hella tired of his family bickering and bitching among each other and wanted to peace the fuck out, but can’t as he’s very much stuck with his children and their problems.
