The persona projection is the joke. Vigilante didn’t even really mean it when he said it, as shown by the shakiness of his voice as he said it. Both Peacemaker and Vigilante have a persona that they project that isn’t really who they really are.

As someone who is constantly told I am an emotionless robot, I guess I agree. I thought that shit was funny. It is obvious he feels emotions. It is just his nerd copium to say that because he is embarrassed.

Try as he may, Dafoe can’t save a sinking episode of SNL.  C+

I think the “I don’t feel emotions like regular people” is intentionally awkward. It’s how he wants to be perceived. He does clearly feel emotions (as evidenced by his insecurity with Chris making other friends), but he wants to seem like he doesn’t have emotions at all.

I liked the first season quite a bit, but the second season felt like a show that had moved well beyond its initial premise and didn’t really know what to do with itself.

he has not been the main director for the last two episodes

Seriously, for the last time, fuck this fucking show.

My thought was insane not to make it a five-minute sketch. I think even a movie length version would drain all the funny out of a moderately funny premise.

Yeah.

My favorite part of the episode was when Peacemaker pointed out how he too had been bullied in his youth by people calling him a bully and insensitive. The delivery of it was just near-perfect.

All of this might have bothered me if watching a randomly placed episode of The Mandalorian wasn’t a million times more fun than the regularly scheduled Boba Fett programming.

I was, and I am.

The little world build stuff has been where SW has been killing it for years. It’s never talked about on screen, but the reason Phasma’s armor is so shiny is because it’s from a melted down Naboo starship. That’s just a fun detail.

I think helmet-removal for eating (and hopefully dental care) is okay, and the question had the implication ‘have you been flashing your naked face around in front of other living beings like a shameless face-hussy?’

Yoda wasn’t a muppet. Muppets are made by either Muppet Workshop or by Jim Henson’s Creature Workshop; Yoda might have been performed by Oz, but he was designed and made by Industrial Light and Magic with no connection to the Henson company apart from being small, green, and living in a swamp.

Dr. Brian May approved a script that made Freddie seem like a guy who sang in the band for a few years.

This might be one of the most insane episodes I’ve seen in a while. Not because it was somehow bad, completely agreed with the review that it was the best episode of the show so far, but because it is, as being pointed out a lot, an episode of a completely different show. In the middle of this series which is already

Enjoyed the episode, and in the opening it did exactly what I wanted which is having Mando cut in half one of those space cows on the meat racks.

Sometimes a hat is just a hat.

I enjoyed his performance on No Way home, but I feel the discourse about that needs be shifted to his performance on Tick, Tick... Boom.

I’m not one who normally enjoys modern musicals, but I was absolutely blown away by his acting on that film. More people need to talk about that film. Pop culture discourse has been
