i agree that they were smart, but it’s all in the execution, not the percentage of connected things, IMO.

i think access to information is different these days. noone is going into a store for this stuff anymore and getting confused.

it’s interesting because i could see the ‘gamers’ argument that it was super low powered (even upon release), but the fact of the matter is your average person does not understand or care about that stuff, and even your average gamer eventually gets FOMO when it comes to nintendo games.

this is probably my favorite show of the whole streaming era. just assumed it was canceled. this is such a nice treat.

and, much like restaurants, when something special is made with love people respond to it (helldivers 2, palworld) and when it’s corporate crap people usually stay away (suicide squad, whatever else take your pick)
