I was really caught off guard by Schnicklefritz when I got it in a variety pack. Good stuff.

I’m not as big of a fan of it anymore, but we used to buy it in the $30 mini kegs and it was pretty good then. Not sure how it holds up years later.
My local store got it’s shipment of Oberon in at the usual time this year, and it just sat.... and sat.... and sat. Maybe some folks are pulling away from it?
Oh lord. A close friend of mine who trends toward being a late-20s frat star (big Acura SUV, goes golfing with his dad, ski trips, etc.) was over at my place for dinner one night when he says, “Hey man, I’ve tried a new bourbon this week and it was awesome.” Being the son of an boubon man and a fan of the drink…
Upland released their Barrel Chested Barleywine in four packs of bottles this winter and it was amazing. I was wary of picking a pack up because I hadn’t had much experience with the style, but it will find its way into my fridge again next winter. Plus - killer branding.
lol One of my best friends recently became the manager of packaging and distribution at Upland Brewing Co. (Bloomington, IN). He called me after his first day, a 12 hour shift of manning the lines with his team, and said, “This is the hardest fucking job I have ever had, but I work at a god damn brewery.”
Rhinegeist, Three Floyds, and maybe Revolution? My midwest bias is showing.
There’s a small brewery in IN that has a dessert item that’s a float made with their sublime milk stout.
I’m just glad we can all be friends.
Bourbon instead of gin. Otherwise pretty much the same recipe!
My dad makes a Kentucky 75, which is pretty much the same thing but with bourbon, and it makes my toes curl with how good it is.
My mom pronounces it “si-rachi”
Here I am crying at my desk you jerk.
Arctic Panzer Wolf from them is still my favorite, hands down.
With my office on the edge of IUPUI’s campus, I can think of ten off the top of my head within ten miles (not including Ram/Rock Bottom/Granite City), with four within walking distance on a good day. It’s a good time for beer drinkers in Indiana.
I watched Shaun of the Dead so many times my DVD wore down
That’s the easy answer, but not exactly workable, is it? I mean, he’s fighting in the biggest boxing match in nearly 30 years. Would be...kinda dumb for ESPN to ignore him/it.
Yup. Newish, in the Over The Rhine neighborhood. Truth, their IPA, is excellent. And their labeling is world class.
When it comes to Cincy, for me, it's all about Rhinegeist. Hope you get to try some of their offerings soon Will!
