Sorry, multiple things can be true. She may have been groomed and let down by multiple levels of society and somehow passed through far too many safety nets that should have prevented all of this from happening.

The logic the article uses in the “cancel culture is a myth” protest is also fantastically fallacious.
“X is problematic. X hasn’t been cancelled. Therefore cancellation doesn’t exist.”

No matter how many times we say “cancel culture is a myth,” it doesn’t make it true. I wish we could just acknowledge that so-called cancel culture has some negative implications along with all the positive effects (accountability, etc.).

Just noting that I’m not surprised he is stuffing the movie with references to better films...that “technique” was basically all of Sucker Punch. If there was ever a better example…

Yes, I am Jewish. Are you suggesting that antisemitism from Black people be overlooked because of racism and the “complicated” relationship between the two sides? Would you say the same about it is the prejudice went the other way? 

I think it’s just that people don’t think something is anti-Semitic unless it involves the holding of a tiki torch. It’s kind of like how some people don’t think something is a racist unless it’s it involves a cross burning
