I don’t know, man. I think most of us are hoping that Hollywood will just pretend this never happened after everything is back to semi-normal. I don’t want to see the Avengers wearing masks and social distancing. Just let this become a bad dream.
Jesus Christ. Have you never watched or read any dystopian sci fi before? This is all pretty standard tropes. Evil government, evil corporations and gig workers of some definition are pretty cliche and the idea is never supposed to be comforting, but to induce dread and paranoia. Everything isn’t a right wing boogeyman…
She directed The Last Supper and you want to lead with fucking Bye Bye Man?
Well, thanks for telling us you’re an upper class white male, I guess.
He’s doing that thing where you try to unbunch/unstick your testicles without using your hands.
Thank you. I’m so tired of the current culture of “Shut up if I don’t agree with you.” I want to understand why people think the things they do and they only way to find that out is to let them speak. Just dismissing fringe or unusual beliefs as the works of kooks is arrogant and myopic.
I subscribe to HBO through Hulu, but I can only watch HBO Max content off of Hulu. None of this has made any sense.
Maybe, but I guarantee you Whedon is 100% responsible for how terrible and cringey The Flash is in the movie.
There was a protest in England over the weekend with a thousand or so people singing “You can shove the poisoned vaccine up your ass” in unison, so I’d say your assumption is probably right.
Did AT&T buy WB/HBO just to destroy it?
I’m not questioning the science at all. I’m worried about the manufacture and oversight.
My paranoia is that I don’t trust big pharma or their record of putting out drugs and procedures that have proven dangerous to human consumption and this is after years of trails. Now we have several companies trying to get their lottery ticket to market first, using mRNA and being pushed to market after a few months…
That first Tweet is especially accurate. There are sections in the first book that are seriously just listing things from the 80's. I don’t know how anyone could finish reading that piece of shit.
The aliens do not arrive on New Year’s Eve. They arrive on December 23rd. Everyone knows that.
It was the most repellent shock for shock’s sake scene that I’ve ever scene in TV show or film. I never watched another episode because of it. There’s no way you would be able to make the motivations of the characters make any sense after that or redeem the the character of Jessica. This show was begging to be…
Everyone was in love with Chalemet and I had no idea who he was. By the time I figured out who he was, everyone was done with Chalemet and making fun of him. It’s almost like he never existed at all.
As bad as Watership Down was to me as a kid, The Plague Dogs was worse.
I remember picturing Larry, Lloyd and Ralph as black. I have no idea why I pictured Ralph as black. That one makes no sense in retrospect. Must have reminded me of someone, as a kid.
I read it when I was a kid and still too naive to realize that there’s weren’t a lot of black characters in the works of white writers that weren’t explicitly described as black , so I pictured quite a few characters as black. The mini-series always felt off to me because of that.
