Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Don’t be so hard on yourself.
What in the hell. Explain yourself. Please.
For those lives taken by the Mustang.
9/10, would daily drive. But honestly, given what I daily-drive, and where I daily-drive it, that’s not really saying much.
My father still has the 1970 Spitfire he bought new in 1969. Lovely cars. Not a fan of the later 1500 models myself, but a Spitfire is a Spitfire whatever the configuration.
Also, be careful buying parts from Victoria British. We don’t anymore, because their quality has gone to crap in the past two decades. Moss…
Yes it is in shit condition, but it runs for $2400. A little elbow grease and maybe a tune up and it will still be a dirt cheap old MB with an engine that will run forever.
That’s an interesting take.
Fundamentally, I’d agree. Something rare and crappy generally doesn’t merit value. But rarity with quality craftsmanship, a name synonymous with prestige, or with some kind of racing pedigree can be a little different.
Rarity does not equal value. Cool bike at 8000 maybe but crackpipe at 12000. You could probably get something significantly better for that price and have way more fun.
I was a shop foreman during the ‘Cash for clunkers’ program. Those engines were supposed to get some kind of solution to replace the engine oil, but it was not available. So the program director told us to permanently disable the engine. We drained the oil, threw the drainplug in the trash, and ran them until we…
Dont understand the big deal about manuals. It is a good car for a good price and a fun drive. I could care less how often i have to move the stick.
Did not even have to read anything before clicking NP. The shell alone is worth asking price.
Way to respond to a decent counterargument with demeaning attempts and personal attacks. I’ll award you a gold star.
I’ll end with the fact that between your attacks it appears we have some common ground. I agree leasing is a fine choice if you find it WORTH THE COST (your quote, “certain premium of money on their…
I disagree. If your too poor to buy a car cash then your too poor to lease a car... You need to start building up an asset base, and in order to do so you should probably be driving an older used car until you pay it off, then start SAVING money in interest bearing accounts, instead of dumping money into a new car…
I didn’t say it did. I said the reason he still has money is because he doesn’t make dumb decisions with it. I’ll take his advice on money before I’ll listen to a car salesman/journalist.
This is the biggest load of shit. The reason that Jay Leno and people in his wealth bracket have that kind of money is because they don’t make dumb financial decisions. There are used cars that you can afford if you can’t afford to buy new. But to say that leasing is ever a smart option is just teaching broke people…
Beats me.
Today's life lesson: Boys, beat the crap out of your girlfriends.
