The Surreal Life was just a very mean-spirited show in retrospect. They cast people who clearly had problems, exploited them and basically played them for laughs.

I would also take a series about his FBI agent character from Twin Peaks.

The Graduate

The 2012 Quadrophenia tour is one of my favorite concerts I’ve seen. Townshend and Daltrey may be old but they still put their all into those angry teenage rock anthems better than anybody else. That film is badly dated in a lot of places but it’s worth seeing for Truman Capote in a rare acting role and he is absolutely brilliant.

There was also the brilliant Victor/Victoria which acted as a comeback for him, his wife Julie Andrews, and the great Robert Preston who died not long after. I don’t think he ever made a great movie afterwards though.

To me, he’s also the definitive Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls.

I can’t picture modern day Fleetwood Mac without Buckingham. Yes I know, there have been several iterations of the band without him but he’s pretty much been the de facto band leader for the past two decades. I’m a big fan of the Mac but I have little interest in this tour.
