I had to read this sentence about ten times to figure out what the hell it was saying.

A powerful and devastating story that deserved a much better writer than Maureen Dowd. I kept losing track at some points, I thought maybe it was just me. What a structural mess.

I think there’s just no point in doing so anymore. The show is never going to be objectively good again nor do I think it’s really trying to anymore so a conventional review doesn’t really work for a show like Scandal. It’s become a soap opera but with a bigger budget, a more impressive cast, and more storylines…

Well to be fair, you can’t really make a straight adaptation of Hamlet as a G-rated animated Disney movie but I think they made it as intentionally Shakespearean as they could.

They even did a second direct-to-video sequel The Lion King 1 1/2 which is pretty much Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. It’s the first movie retold from just Timon and Pumbaa’s perspective.
