I really want to see this. I'm a big Velvet Underground fan and I've been getting very into John Cale's other work lately as well. His live album Fragments of a Rainy Season which was reissued a few months back is fantastic. I absolutely love his voice.

John Cale doesn't really tour as far as I can tell. He just does these kind of one-off shows and festival appearances.

It certainly couldn't top Hasselhoff's cameo in The Spongebob Squarepants Movie which is one of the greatest movie cameos ever as far as I'm concerned.

Mark Frost confirmed in his book, The Secret History of Twin Peaks that Audrey survived the explosion. Pete Martell died heroically shielding her from the blast. Also, Sherilyn Fenn is confirmed to be returning.

And I think that's why he left when he did. He never wanted that responsibility and it was putting too much pressure on him. I don't think that's selfish, I think he's only human.

I feel like Lynch is aware of James' reputation among fans and that was his way of saying "No, I still think he's cool."

"But, the two final scenes were cut from the TV finale, not the movie, and represent the actual conclusion of the original series"

I don't think that's what the cut to the roadhouse was intending. I think every episode is just going to end with a roadhouse performance, whether or not it ties in to the actual story. I don't think it's Audrey because if Coop disappeared shortly after the events of season 2, the two didn't really have much of a

Damn, Nafessa Williams is fine as hell.

I was reading another article, listening to Spotify when all of the sudden I heard Michael Cera's Twin Peaks speech in the background. Good to know I'm not going crazy though I am surprised that they shared a scene from an episode that hasn't officially aired yet (aside from on Showtime's various On Demand services).

If you have Showtime On Demand or Showtime Anytime, you can already watch parts 3 and 4.

You are correct.

I noticed that Mädchen Amick was credited as just Shelly, rather than Shelly Johnson. Makes me wonder if Lynch didn't want the credits to reveal yet that she has become Shelly Briggs?

He's credited as playing "Jean-Michel Renault", I assume a never-mentioned twin brother who happens to be holding Jacques' old job. Another show couldn't get away with such a thing. But Twin Peaks, I'll allow it.

To be fair, Shelly never had to see that black widow subplot.

Her death came as such a shock to fans but her appearance in the show makes it clear that she and Lynch both knew that she was sick. Speaking of which, was that voice on the phone the late David Bowie?

Vanessa Bayer is actually one of my favorites in the current cast. But I guess I'm more a fan of things she's done outside of SNL like Sound Advice on YouTube or her guest spot on Comedy Bang Bang as the turtle expert who doesn't like turtles.

Sure that's not a Bob Odenkirk wax figure?

I'm surprised that the documentary which was very good didn't point out the irony of an overbearing mother (to say the least) naming her daughter Gypsy Rose.
