For me, I’d say the most deserving (since TDK, of course) was maybe, maybe Logan. It did get a major category nod in the form of a screenplay nomination, and the powerful performances fit right in with what the Academy tends to favor.

I really like The Winter Soldier.  I think it is the perfect example of how Superhero movies don’t all have to be the same exact thing.   It really feels like it could be a 70s spy thriller for a lot of it. 

Megyn was never a good fit for daytime tv. Her personality is too abrasive and passive aggressive racism doesn’t fly so well on morning tv.
