My point is that public education needs to be what an associates degree is. All those "basics" should be given to everyone, free, so they can enter their professional study program or enter the work force with no debt.

PS the Associates Degree (and the Bachelor's Degree) is a fucking sham. College students pay for two years of tuition to learn the "basics" they shoulda fucking learned in high school.
