I was typing the same thing, but was afraid it would come across sarcastic. Mind blown for sure.

This actually a really nice article. Congrats
Holy shit - this is just a straight forward informative post explaining the answer to an interesting question. Well done.
Good point, but your comparison was bolt to model 3. Also, it’s only cheaper assuming gas stays at $2 a gallon over the course of ownership, if we see $4/gallon again the ev quickly becomes a better finacial decision.
Yea. Anyone who asks me if they should buy a Bolt, I’m going to tell them to check out the Volt while they’re at the dealership. It’s likely they’ll be going home with the one that starts with V.
Guess the Chevy hate brings clicks. Millenial here that just started my own business that requires lots of local driving. My business will purchase one of these. And chevy is making it practical for my wife, two kids, dog? Take my money now. Also, the model 3 gives me none of the feels. Bland. But no hate on it…
I would agree, but we’re talking 9mph starting at 65. I would be willing to bet the dynamics or survivability of the crash are not much different.
And there it is, the bullshit excuse that will allow everyone to walk away saying “That man was SPEEDING!”. 74 in a 65, c’mon.
I’m going to consider all these stories bullshit , or at least exaggerations, until I hear people are walking away from this shit and going back home.
I ran decathlon in college, and jav is one of the events. The throwing motion is similar to a outfielders throwing motion, but mixed a little bit with throwing a football. It puts a ton of strain on your elbow, and decathletes/heptathletes (like this girl) have other events to worry about; multi-eventers don’t…
Just curious, can you only identify with people of your own ethnicity ? I grew up in an all white environment (Eastern Europe), but whenever there was a Jackie Chan or Eddie Murphy movie, or Family Matters or the Prince of Bel-Air on TV, no one said they felt they can’t identify with the people on the screen. Bruce…
Dying as in it had a huge audience and was popular worldwide?
Great point. What it gets you is a never-ending cycle of pandering to special interest groups.
I think diversity resides in the freedom to choose the best people, regardless of their physical appearance, background, etc. Period.
Well, the BBC finally got what they wanted, which was a politically correct show about cars. Unfortunately most of the car people I know are far from PC, so basically they alienated the audience that they built over 20+ seasons.
I agree. Diversity is great when it happens for the right reasons. It’s not great when the government forces us to implement it.
Maybe someday we will just choose the best candidates and actually have the best of something. We are getting closer because everyone is considered now, but people are now chosen because of their diversity. That doesn’t get the best. It just gets something different.
Sorry to step out of line but I actually value the experience and the talent of the presenters more than how well they fill some race or gender quota. You do them a disservice. The show isn’t better because someone is black or has a vagina. It’s better because the hosts are better at what they do.
“The refreshed Top Gear did away with the Three-White-Guys-Plus-The-Stig format and instead delivered a very different-looking cast of presenters.”
