I ran decathlon in college, and jav is one of the events. The throwing motion is similar to a outfielders throwing motion, but mixed a little bit with throwing a football. It puts a ton of strain on your elbow, and decathletes/heptathletes (like this girl) have other events to worry about; multi-eventers don’t

Just curious, can you only identify with people of your own ethnicity ? I grew up in an all white environment (Eastern Europe), but whenever there was a Jackie Chan or Eddie Murphy movie, or Family Matters or the Prince of Bel-Air on TV, no one said they felt they can’t identify with the people on the screen. Dying as in it had a huge audience and was popular worldwide?

Great point. What it gets you is a never-ending cycle of pandering to special interest groups.

I think diversity resides in the freedom to choose the best people, regardless of their physical appearance, background, etc. Period.

Well, the BBC finally got what they wanted, which was a politically correct show about cars. Unfortunately most of the car people I know are far from PC, so basically they alienated the audience that they built over 20+ seasons.

I agree. Diversity is great when it happens for the right reasons. It’s not great when the government forces us to implement it.

Maybe someday we will just choose the best candidates and actually have the best of something. We are getting closer because everyone is considered now, but people are now chosen because of their diversity. That doesn’t get the best. It just gets something different.

Sorry to step out of line but I actually value the experience and the talent of the presenters more than how well they fill some race or gender quota. You do them a disservice. The show isn’t better because someone is black or has a vagina. It’s better because the hosts are better at what they do.

“The refreshed Top Gear did away with the Three-White-Guys-Plus-The-Stig format and instead delivered a very different-looking cast of presenters.”

I often think about what I would do in these type of situations and tricking a wolf into getting attacked by a bear is not something I would think to do.

You also think the white man is the devil according to all your other posts. Go back to gawker.

Regera? More like Regreta...amiright?

Even if it’s true he was taking care of the boy, we can’t read his mind. He’s a wild animal and it could have turned ugly in an instant. We just don’t know and all these “what ifs” aren’t helping anyone.

Seriously. The gorilla was putting on a macho performance. There was nothing nurturing about pushing the little boy around and dragging him by his little leg.

Keep seeing this “The gorilla was being kind!” reaction.. Are people just not seeing the part where he grabbed the child by the foot and dragged him through the water repeatedly?

This is just another straight forward ad for Tesla. There are so many electric vehicles right now that there is only one reason you would bring only Tesla up.

Maybe... but I would go as far as predicting a collapse. The market will just change. As coal firing electrical plants (and nuclear) fall out of favor... there is still oil to burn and make electricity. I think the future will be a mix of energy sources. Oil prices make increase as demand for electricity increases and

Man, that’s my fault, sometimes I forget not everybody reads about trucks all day. I’ll add that in! But basically, this truck has its air intake raised up with a snorkel. Now on a lot of gasoline-burning cars that wouldn’t be enough because there are lots of little intakes called “breathers” that are hard to see.

Actually the opposite! It means that they felt secure enough to explore the world. So good job :)
