i think you are underestimating the size of that wiper blade. if it isnt one large one there appears to be a second link or pressure point a third lower on the arm suggesting maybe 2 blades.

looks like it is trying to pull of the toyota prius/honda insight/pontiac aztec split rear glass. but the height of the third brake liht makes seeing out the back all but useless. guess the rear window isnt for visibility but to allow some light into the otherwise claustrophobic interior
