there have been several occasions where the aircraft has encountered large quantities of bugs and they have to open the glass to reach the windshield so they can scrape the bugs off the glass.

I assume you rotate to the desired direction of travel and that it returns to the picture position. How do you get it into neutral?

My father lost his windshield to a deer on his ‘14 f-150. Insurance wanted to use an aftermarket windshield but he fought and paid the difference to get o.e.
