The show has dropped several hints about the Death Star being under construction, which is probably the closest RO connection to date. I would put money on Maz or Lor San Tekka appearing at some point, but to date, Star Wars seems to be extremely conservative in revealing stuff ahead of the movies. The C3PO comic

I think the show's one shot is that it's surprisingly good viewing. Except for one grumpy Catholic blogger, I've yet to see anyone say that the show is, on a whole, anything but good.

Anytime you see something like that, a Wizard did it.

For those of you sick of TWD's madness, may I suggest jumping over to The Exorcist on FOX? It's new and strangely uplifting even though it also plumbs the depths of human misery.

Remember when The Walking Dead was fun?

I've been calling him Crandall!

What do I get called? I'm never sure anymore either.

Is it clear that Chris is an exorcist herself? I would assume that the show had her in the black coat and hat as a callback to the movie and not to specifically show her as an exorcist. If we're going for Catholic-accurate here, then laypeople can't perform ritual exorcism themselves.

This statement is incorrect.

I thought Palpatine was supposed to be Abraham Lincoln and Dooku was Jefferson Davis. If, y'know, both were evil and in bed together.

You know, I'm sorry I didn't reply to you last week. I got your reply at an awkward time of day and then it fell off my radar.

…probably a more accurate description, yes.

Point of clarification: Tomas' prostration before the altar wasn't "confession" in the sacramental sense. It was an act of apology before God, to be sure, but he'd still need to go find another priest to get sacramental absolution.

Or his dad beat the shit out of him, which explains the head injury.

I think we're overthinking the line. They're being cute with Ezra, not saying that he effected a colossal socio-economic galactic change.

Or…it's a kids' show which is the spiritual successor to another kids' show and they're having a whimsical bridge between the two.

I literally need to see a Sesame Street skit with Donald Grump and Miss Piggy having this conversation.
