My wife is an editor who dabbles in publishing. Apparently with books, declaring your genre is a very difficult decision because it stereotypes your book even though you may touch on multiple subject areas. If you have a horror-romance story that's set in a specific historical setting, is it horror, romance, or

This is what happens when a third rate Batman villain hits on you.

Actually, if anybody in the AVC art community wants to work me into a published strip in my Power Girl suit, I'd be eternally flattered….

Oh, great, we got a pervert here.

I think Raina's a woman.

Damn. I shouldn't have tucked today.

Well, the new EU has a very tight story group that's trying to avoid contradictions to the maximum extent possible. So far it's working, but we're only two years into this experiment. More likely, they'll limit info on that 30 year gap to prevent spoiling the sequel films. Aftermath and Bloodlines have given bare

The hell is going on with Silent Bob over here?

The problem is that the EU didn't supplement the status quo—it WAS the status quo. First there were no new movies between 1983 and 1999, so the EU filled ALL the Star Wars needs. Even when the prequels launched, the EU was still chugging along just fine.
