Fun fact. My dad had no middle name. Just the initial "M" for some reason. He wrote "M Only" on his college admission form, and they mistook his middle name for Monly. Which is what it remained forever.

We really did wedge him into that helmet. We had to take out all the inside padding so it was just a plastic shell.

We cast a younger kid for the E.T. costume and tried with the younger costumes (ghostbusters) to use that same kid. But it was SO weird. Like — who is this strange kid in the living room. So we re-did it so it was Adam to avoid the confusion!

The idea — at least in my head — was we saw Bev swiping tons of bags. She consolodated them as she went, ending up with like 6 stuffed bags. Back in the day, I'd fill up a pillowcase. So it seemed reasonable to me.

The actual answer to why we do daytime every year is because we have to be out of the neighborhood by 11. And kids that age can't work past 9. Which leaves just 2 hours of darkness. AND we only are allowed to shoot outside ONE day an episode. So it's just not possible!
