Yep! The Wawa was our hang. And the first episode of the JTP earlier in the season I show real footage of them. The casting is eerie similar to the real people.

I was in the hammock between two awesome shows and beyond thrilled. People forget we were at 9:00 and after SHIELD season one. A comedy has NEVER worked coming off a drama. But despite that, we still got solid numbers and they moved us into the slot we always wanted.

If you watch the pilot, Beverly is VERY different. She yells, she wears extreme make-up, she's a total ball buster. Wendi brought in the softness and around episode 4 I realized she wasn't selfish — she just over-loved her kids to a fault.

That delivery was not only awesome, but she added — call the police or toys r us! I don't F*CKING know anymore! Which she improvised and to me is the funniest line in the show hands down.

Naked Rob is a real guy (as are the other two members of the JTP). Naked Rob really did get naked at every party. He'd chill next to the keg with no clothes, happily greeting people who passed by.

Oh my God, the taking care of an egg is the biggest hacky clam ever. There was a real moment when I said maybe we should avoid it, but I hadn't really seen the mother in law aspect of it. The show became a very dangerous way for me to vent a lot of real arguments I had with my mom and my wife.

One of my favorite moments from the series is the chorus kicking in as Barry hits the watermelon. Just one of those things that was in my head that no one really understood until they saw it.
