I'll reserve the details for someone more descriptive than me, but to summarize- you can do a lot with a jar of cheap mayo.

That is precisely the point - most of our infrastructure is more than 40 years old!!

You're a few months late- they literally already distributed the screwdrivers to Apple repair centers, and are even replacing your current iphone screws with their own proprietary ones, screwing you out of the ability to change your battery on your own.

It isn't nearly as expensive if you continually maintain and update it from the start.

so can nothing be said for the nearly 50 years of research at that point into phosphorescence, photo-electric effect, cathode ray tubes, semiconductors, optics, or woven fabric... I guess I was right, the alien conspiracy theorists really have taken over the History channel.

Nintendo actually sent me a cease and desist letter once for writing a pokemon game for the TI-83 when I was about 13. I mentioned it off-handedly in one of their very early Nintendo Power forums and next thing I know threatening that I should "immediately cease development and/or distribution of any product aspects

Hence the popular term for all that "shiny" CG and compositing used in post to try and make crappy movies less crappy:

The difference is that NASA never released data showing exactly where the UFO's are going to be in the sky, at what time they would be in that particular spot, and what their exact angular velocity is. You'd be surprised how much easier that kind of stuff makes it to spot tiny objects in a blackened void.

They don't stay in business by selling you a long-lasting product at a low price, and updating it for free, after all.

The beauty of science is that it's fiercely competitive, and if someone publishes an incorrect study or piece of information in a reputable journal, there's thousands of peer scientists following it. Many are waiting to -reproduce- the experiment's findings and herald in a revolution, but they're just as happy to tear

If you spent the time to read the articles in scientific journals, looked at any of the relevant data (for instance atmospheric carbon levels sourced from ground samples) from the last 400 years, or even *gasp* talked to a scientist studying our climate, you'd know that the greenhouse gas levels started rising at a

Do some real research. Until then, shut up.

actually there's like 25 lenses and most of them aren't that good compared to the equivalent offerings from Nikon and Canon. The old Maxxum lenses are alright, but most of them have terribly slow autofocus and show their age pretty terribly.

I'm honestly surprised that computer manufacturers still bother to include these at all - I, nor anyone else I know, uses the playback or "web" buttons on their PC laptops.

well Iraq was totally the cause of 9/11. I saw it on Fox News, it must be true.

"A bug was discovered that, in many circumstances, would cause Samsung to lose money on sales of their new Galaxy S2 platform. We apologize for the inconvenience."

On a similar topic, can y'all post something about how we can get involved in that class-action against Samsung for being a bunch of lying, stinking, no-good lying liars about updating the Epic?

Which Antioch was this referring to? I went to Antioch College in 2003, and they were barely up on IT almost 10 years after this video was made. I can't imagine what my little hippie, anti-tech school must have been like back then.

The vibrant recently got an update, and now the captivate. Does that mean I should expect 2.2 for my Epic soon?

Most of us in Hollywood who work on these films have been thinking the same thing. The theory is that the producers have been much more protective about letting "new blood" into their ranks, and are also cautious about using "un-tried" ideas and losing profits.
