Any ten minutes of Edge of Tomorrow is better than the entirety of Oblivion.

Been a great year so far. Just got back from seeing BOYHOOD, so I might need some distance, but as of now, that's my number 1. Top ten would be:
I thought that was really funny.
The worst. I had some friends over to watch some movies recently, and this friend of a friend pulled out his phone to play games on it for like 20 minutes in the middle. I almost stopped the movie to yell at him. And it was a foreign film, so it's not like could even listen to the dialogue and understand what was…
How could I forget "that's some good rock and roll, uh, music"?
I was just thinking about this one. Don't forget Ol' Sourpuss Brian Eno, naming the members of the band, dick and butthole talk, "great episode" after any of the podcasts within podcasts finishes, and my favorite: I was a little boy who wanted to be a big boy.
Yeah, I totally get that. That's how I felt when I saw THE ARRIVAL in theaters, and maybe if I saw SHAWSHANK in '94 I'd have more of a connection to it (I saw it on a re-release a few years back). That being said, if THE ARRIVAL was consistently ranked as the best movie of all time by IMDB users, I'd be like "eh,…
It's not a piece of shit! (But it is overrated).
I was just coming here to say that. Back when it was called "The F Word" it was absolutely brilliant. Incredible dialogue. Felt like a classic.
Except Allison's neighborhood is the show's one explicit Toronto reference. Everything else goes out of its way to be ambiguous.
It is pretty good, though the indie pop this review mentions is also used poorly there. Red is a solid film, too. May remains his best, though.
Yeah I mean I personally like Primer okay and LOVE Upstream Color, but even if you don't like UC, it was far too well-regarded for Carruth to fall into that category.
Bound is still my favorite Wachowskis film. By a lot.
I think the Nickelback as a bad music punchline was fine once… it just became a cliche. I mean people have been using that punchline for over ten years now. Bieber… yeah, it seems that one is used by obnoxious rockists who find all pop music to be the worst thing ever, or obnoxious teeny boppers who diss Bieber…
This is how I feel about people who say there is "nothing good streaming on Netflix" when my streaming queue is in the 400s somewhere.
Don't listen to your friend. Sure, it's Bong's fourth best film but it's still one of the best constructed and smartest sci-fis in years. Swinton is bizarre but far from off-putting.
She's totally not whining about the price of fame, though. I don't think there's a single lyric on the album that addresses fame, definitely nothing about her own "fame." And most of the stuff about the internet is directed at herself more than outwardly.
I agree it's not as good as PLMS (though not by much and is still pretty amazing), but studio polish? This is just as raw as her previous, if not more so (Smoulder, anyone?). And like PLMS, it was recorded entirely in her basement, not a studio.
I'm all about Solace. Those songs are great too though.
Who's they?
