I read this article back when it came out, but after seeing the first episode of the docu-series, it’s got its place, if only because Doug Matthews is fantastic on screen for an FBI agent.

The Doctor did have an “age” at the beginning of NuWho, of roughly 800-900 years. They kept updating that number up until ~1200, but then the Matt Smith Christmas/New set of regenerations episode happened, where he spends over 1000 years there.

All I expected from this episode was the return of a race not used much in over a decade.

The episode did disappoint in one regard:

I’ll have to disagree with the piling on of call outs towards Borderlands. Yes, the series as a whole has a lot of juvenile moments and humor, but Borderlands 2 does have a lot of moments that were hilarious - even Butt Stallion, by virtue of being something that actually exists.

This cameo had me over the moon because up until last night, while most shows have been on hiatus, I’ve been watching 2-3 episodes of Justified a night, for the first time.

Expanding on that, the NSA would be *very* interested in an AI able to crack encryption in record time.

So, Par for the course?

Rectify was a haunting watch, and it deserves its high slot but... I get it not being known outside of places like here. It played on Sundance, which is super niche, and it's not the kind of show that's an easy sell for binge watch on Netflix. There's plenty of character driven shows that succeed, but Rectify

I mean, this is the network that gave Galavant a second season, and Agents of SHIELD 7 seasons based on L+7 metrics, so it's the most expected of the networks to be following that route. Hopefully all networks move to that format.

The most glaring exclusion to me, given it matches/exceeds the quality of the other Sci fi on the list.

I loved the show, watched it same day all the way through, and the songs have been my most played on spotify... But even then I can't pretend season 4 compares to the other 3, especially on the musical front.

It’s too low, but I’m glad to have it there at all.

Great to see Person of Interest on this list.

Maybe, but the copy of Watchmen I have here has a Lindelof pull quote that goes “The greatest piece of popular fiction ever produced” or something like that. So it’s not impossible he was directly influenced and it became a natural extension.

Now playing

The Satanists dancing in an alley felt like a direct lift of similar scenes of the Skids dancing on Letterkenny.

No reviews for this week’s episode? For this show and for ‘On becoming a god...’?

Owen Wilson, of course.

Which the movie managed to make even worse!

Better safe than sorry?
