Perhaps that’s what he was counting on

“We cannot achieve our 50% profit margins and compete with Tesla on range and acceleration”

Expensive carmaker CEO says cheap cars aren’t coming any time soon.

I mean, what counts as “affordable” these days? The MSRP on the Nissan Leaf starts under 30k. The Chevy Bolt is about 32k.

Yes, really. Most wouldn’t be able to tell the difference with the exterior.

Musk is only about free speech when it’s good for him. Otherwise it’s non-disclosure agreements and firings.

That argument is valid only if the Mini-E is substantially cheaper than other EVs. In Canada, a Mini-E will run you an advertised $40,000. For that money I can buy a Chevrolet Bolt or Nissan Leaf (for two that were on the top of my head), save a couple thousand, and get substantially more range.

It’s a fair point, but 100 mile range still sucks in today’s market. Especially when the current gen Fiat 500e has a 200 mile range and a similar price. But the catch is that Fiat left the US a couple years ago, so the 200 mile 500e is Europe-exclusive.

I saw a post from someone last night that mentioned that they no longer owned their model 3 because it was lemon law’ed, and that they wont be buying another because quality issues seem to common, and they want to wait until the Cyber Truck is available.

Also every Tesla fan talks about the new Roadster, saying how it’s the fastest thing on earth like you can go out and buy one right now.

Don’t forget the absolutely awful Telsa service and very limited service stations in most of the country/world. I learned this the hard way.

The only reason I’m angry is that I wanted to be the one to say it. Honestly, any Tesla though. Their predatory sales model might actually be worse than the Stealership model, the fanbase is rabid, and the build qualities of all of them are dubious. I renounce Elon as our Lord and Savior.

Tesla Model S. There, I said it.

Based on some Googling I see a bunch of different sites list baseball as Japan’s most popular sport (one from 2016, three from 2021 and one from 2022), so in that case I’d say baseball is more popular in Japan than it is in the US. Maybe not in number of fans total (although that might also be true), but at least in

I do not know,

Someone please make a Scooby-Doo meme with Fred unmasking the Antonov CEO and it being Trump underneath who is actually asking for money for a new plane.

Save your money, if you want to donate then donate to the humanitarian charities trying to get people out and food and shelter in. Even when Russia is kicked out, The Ukraine is devastated and will not have an aircraft industry, nor much of anything to fly out, for a long-long time after. They are facing a generation

The official explanation is that the aircraft was parked and undergoing repairs with an engine removed.

My old man is a television repairman, he’s got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.

You’re right that efficiency is vital, but weight doesn’t have much impact on EV efficiency. The 5,200-lb Lucid Air has about the same efficiency as a 3,600-lb Tesla Model 3.
