Pretty sure dudes have been fighting over Diane Lane since The Fabulous Stains.

This is a real peach of a sentence as well:

So I totally get it if you don’t like his shtick or whatever. Not everybody likes the same thing and that is fine. But the idea that he is not likeable in general is silly. His whole hugely successful career is based on his likability, and his IS still hugely popular and followed. Sure, his recent relationship issues

He’s extremely likable.  That’s why he’s famous and does stand up in front of sellout crowds.

so now we’re at the phase of mulaneys career where everyone dumps on him. got it.

Why is this site seemingly obsessed with judging things based on mens’  hairstyles all the sudden? It’s getting a little weird.

whole show is good, this review is insane

Anyone immune to the charms of Richard Kind are dead inside.

Yeah, if you don’t like the special, that’s fine -- comedy is subjective and all that. But “grim” is probably the last word I’d use to describe it. Hell, I was struck by how thoroughly normal and straightforward a stand-up comedy special it turned out to be.

What a bizarre critique. The special was funny;  like, really fucking funny. He revealed as much as he needed to in order to make the jokes work. Not every special needs to be doing some sort of Hannah Gadsby style confession.

This show has done a really great job explaining things. I do find myself wondering about the hairstyles on the show. Does the way some shave parts of their heads mean something? Some men have longer hair in a ponytail like Yabushige and Toranada (whose ponytail points upward! This is hard to do even with the advances

That scene where Hiromatsu commits seppuku really left me gutted. See what I did there?

NOT EVEN KINJA CAN STOP IT.

I just bought your damn book, Rabin
In return, please stop reviewing 30 Rock, deal?

AV Club does not offer comment deletion, and today, that fact makes me sad. At least it's long enough after the show that nobody will come by to read my shame.

Baldwin's Impressions
I never realized Alec Baldwin was a gifted mimic. His Billy Dee was spot on and I loved his impression of Josh's impression of Robert DeNiro. Also his "Tracy's dad" voice was a pretty passable Fred Sanford, though I'm not sure if that was coincidental.

"For years I thought I spoke excellent French."
I loved the gibberish translation. Nothing says french gibberish like a random series of Ds and Js.

late
Just watched my torrented 30 Rock. Best episode yet this season.
Aside from Jackie Hoffman's amazing courtroom speech, my favourite moment was when Jack said "Shut up, Lutz!" It was needless when Liz said it the first time, which made the second time even funnier.

If I recall correctly…
The bulk of Tracy's money didn't come from his awful Martin Lawrence-esque movies, but from the vast forture he made off his porno video game. Hence his ability to buy up NBC airtime.

Tracy hosting SNL
I'll be watching the East Coast feed, because I fear the tape-delay may be hacked apart by the Federal Bunch of Sticklers.
