Algoma. We’re on the site of a former residential school. It’s, it’s, well, there aren’t words really.

Where I live in Canada the two NBC affiliates I get are from Detroit and Spokane. At 9 I fired up the PVR only to see some local show on the Detroit feed. Damn. However, Spokane came through, so I watched that ‘live’ at 11.

I absolutely love this movie.

You know, I think Roenick acted like an asshole.

I work at a university in Ontario.  We have significant FN enrolment.  I try.  I often screw up, but I try .....

Amerindian is a term used a bit in French, though not so much any more. It’s got both ‘American’ and ‘Indian’ in it, which are colonial terms really.

Wants to, maybe, doesn’t care at least.

Starting August 1 there will be hockey 15 hours a day.  Suddenly daytime TV will be ok.....

That’s one of the reasons I’m not fond of the American term ‘Native Americans’. I prefer (and my indigenous friends prefer) First Nations. (I’m in Canada, there are differences).

The only differences are that on Canadian 30 Rock there are 12 players on each team, you only get three downs to make a first down and the whole backfield can be in motion before the snap.

Also available on Crave if you are in Canada.

I have albinism.

Could’ve removed ‘might’ and ‘her beans’ from the headline.

Along with ‘blast’, could we do something about ‘shipping’ and ‘stan’?

I took an urban history course in my undergrad days and read about how in the 1300s you could smell Paris 100 miles away.

I think about stuff like that a lot.  I also wonder how bad everyone must smell, pre deodorant and daily showers......

They were the Black Hawks for quite a while actually.

I know the ‘Hawks have worked with First Nations people in the past.  That said I agree.  I figure Edmonton Eskimos should probably go too.

Thank you both for doing the ‘two different spellings’ thing.  Colour me impressed.
