No matter how many times I watch Band of Brothers, I’m always taken aback by his appearance in the series.

If you go read the article on the fellow it is pretty clear that 1917 is what was meant.  I too, at first, thought about Iran.

In all seriousness, the Battle of the Atlantic was a pretty big deal in WW2. I have a bias as I’m Canadian and the RCN was quite important in that part of the conflict. As well, my grandfather served on a Canadian ship during the war.

Plus drinks.
