There should absolutely be opportunities for all levels of participation. Speaking as a music educator... should only the people who will be concert pianists or opera stars study music and everyone else quit? hell no! There should be a place for everyone to participate and a competitive level for those that want it.

This is me, exactly. I have no problem with teaching a class, giving a presentation, meeting with a student about a specific problem, etc—but just freeform chitchat? aaaaaaaaaaaaaah. no.

I got a similar set of Pyrex bowls as a wedding gift 17 years ago (no lids). Never have broken one and I use them several times a week.

At my apartment complex, people are supposed to pick up after their dogs. At least once a week, if not more, I walk by dog shit in the grass. It's disgusting and draws flies and PICK UP AFTER YOUR DOG.
