Yeah I can see the logic but I've never associated black with strictly funerals, I guess. And black isn't even the only color I see at funerals, my mom always just said as long as I was wearing dark colors it was fine.

Both weddings were for people in their late 20's/early 30's. And I will continue to wear black dresses as black is 90% of my wardrobe and IDGAF. :D

Black is a no-no at weddings? The last two weddings I went to (not as a member of the wedding party) I wore a black dress and I definitely was not the only lady in black.

I really don't get this attitude that not liking things is childish. Refusing to try new things, sure? But if you don't like something, you don't like it, period. Not a whole lot a person can do about it.

I think the rules are a little wibbly and individual priests have a lot of leeway. My family is Catholic, and my uncle was never confirmed but the priest allowed him to be my brother's godfather anyway because my mother threatened to just not baptise him.
