I'm a web designer/developer in Boston and have the option to work from home as needed. (lately 'as needed' has been 'because snowpocalypse'). It's not boring, but its not easy. I've been doing it for over a decade and it's a constantly changing field that takes time to keep up with.

Boston has a pretty extensive subway/bus system they could use to get into town. No car required - even from outlying suburbs as much as an hour out, there's commuter rail.

When my brother was in elementary school, he told his teacher he didn't need to do his history homework because when he grew up he was going to win the lottery.

Yeah, I can see that. Pretty much all of my family lives in two neighboring cities in Massachusetts so getting a gift from someone and not having it be in person is pretty much unheard of.

Dude. TUMBLR. There's you're problem. Tumblr is not a good representation of the LGBT community. It's mostly teenagers who just discovered the words privilege and cis and feminism and don't really understand what they mean.

It might not be a man thing. It might just be that he was raised with slightly different rules of etiquette than you.
