And I hope it comes with an option for the 7 speed manual. I know, stretching it but dammit that’d be epic

GM already stated they will be selling this along side the C7 which likely means this will be a halo car of sorts. I am betting easily 100k; I could be wrong but if GM is continuing their production of FR vette I am betting I am right.
I thought about this last night. This is a Corvette. This, in its base trim, will not be the 100k+ monster that everyone thinks it will be. This is going to be $57-$65k out the door. Not Cheap by any means, BUT, that puts it squarely in the domain of the Cayman.... and you don’t get 8 cylinders of american fire power…
oh wow! no way! well that changes everything. being a brand new member of jalpopnik, fresh off the turnip truck (and my first rodeo) I was totally under the impression that it would remain in only the b&w camo guise we’ve seen over the past few months. thanks so much for the insight.
You said it’s going to “revolutionize supercardom”. I am just pointing out that might be a statement we don’t have enough information to actually make yet. I gave examples.
I’m certain it will be something astonishing. GM has been on a roll with their performance cars over the last 4 years and they’ve realized they need a mid-engine layout to get to the next ‘level’. Their latest front engine offerings arguably rival the best in the world so it will be interesting to see how much farther…
Your words are good ones. You said it best so far.
I really want someone to make an actual vinyl windshield (windscreen for our homies across the pond) banner that says:
This is the kind of statement that usually means a SUV is in the works.
If it is LS or LWhatever derived it'll be a pretty darned small and light powerplant. That's why people put LS engines in everything ... Because they fit. The cam in block design makes it super compact and less parts and size means less weight. I'm not a Chevy guy, but that's a good motor and is TINY for it's…
What’s with all the Corvette bashing here? It’s almost like you people don’t like cars or something. This thing looks great, even with the wacko camo. Looks like a Ferrari, you say? Yeah, well dolphins look like sharks, too...and they both look cool.
Yeah it’s a big v8 in terms of displacement, but in terms of packaging it is actually an extremely power-dense. I’m no v8 defender, frankly they bore me to tears. I grew up in TX at a time where everything had a v8 with glasspacks. For me, the sound of a v8 is the sound of mundane. But an LS is actually quite…
You must you must have more experience than I do because I can barely see the rear end there
No, because V6 supercars aren’t real supercars.
The Corvette V8s never get credit for how good they are due to a lack of technology. The block itself is bigger but the engines are lighter and smaller in overall size compared to the competition because of their simplicity. This car doesn’t need to cost another 100k just so it’s complex for the sake of being…
The Grand Tour’s consensus was that the new Ford GT lacked soul. I doubt they would have felt that way if a Coyote was rumbling behind their ears.
Ehh, given how everyone dismisses the Ford GT out of hand for having a V6, maybe they made the right call here.
I thought that was the joke.
If Dodge had this “privacy suite” as an option on the Charger it would be called the “Fap Pack”.
