Hahaha, awwwww, thanks. I mean, it definitely sucked at the time, but it’s handy to have perspective on things. My Christmases might be bad in the future, but it’ll be TOUGH to be more depressing than that one.

I’d even throw June into that mix, but yeah. Every so often I get wistful for it and then have to remember how expensive, depressing, and demoralizing the city could actually be.

Eh, it’s not that bad. I ditched the assholes who bailed on me and eventually made new friends. The following Christmas was WAY better. Also, the most gorgeous city I’ve ever lived in.

OH GOD, I forgot to mention that I had “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “Blue Christmas” in the rotation too. Those are BRUTAL songs to listen to when you’re alone.

I should have prefaced that I’m a complete fucking softie when it comes to Christmas. I miss my family, I miss spending time with people close to me, and being alone in Seattle always feels twice as lonely as elsewhere. It’s the shitty weather.
